  • -  原題:"泰西利瑪竇口譯,吳淞徐光啟筆受"。按此本不知何時所刻?徐光啟題記撰於萬曆三十九年,未言付梓;然據卷端所載考定較閱姓氏推之,必刻成於萬曆間。後李之藻輯印天學初函,即用此版。徐光啟序,又跋,利瑪竇序(萬曆三十五年,1607).
  • -  補:卷内有徐光啟《題幾何原本再校本》云:"是書刻於丁未歲(萬曆三十五年,1607),板留京師。戊申(三十六年,1608)春,利先生以校正本見寄,令南方有好事者重刻之,累年來竟無有,校本留寘家塾。暨庚戌(三十八年,1610)北上,先生沒矣,遺書中得一本,其別後所自業者,校訂皆手跡 ... 其友龐、熊兩先生遂以見遺,庋置久之。辛亥(三十九年,1611)夏季 ... 余念牙弦一輟,行復五年,恐遂遺志。因偕二先生重閱一過,有所增定,比于前刻,差無遺憾矣。"述刻印緣起頗詳。此書最早刻於萬曆三十五年,一年後利瑪竇有校正本,未及刊印,萬曆三十八年利氏卒。次年徐光啟乃據其手校再行增訂,並請利氏助手龐迪我、熊三拔重新審閱,刊印此本。故此版本内容應較初版更為詳盡.
